At Maloney Contracting Services, we take pride in delivering high-quality construction solutions while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about construction, committed to excellence, and driven to exceed client expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

Maloney Contracting Services is seeking a Resident Relocation Coordinator to serve as the primary liaison between residents, property management, and construction teams during comprehensive building renovations in Boston. This role ensures minimal disruption to residents' daily lives by managing communication, coordinating schedules, and promptly addressing tenant concerns. This Coordinator will work for the duration of the renovation project at our site in the South End/Lower Roxbury. The position will last approximately 10-12 months. The duties and responsibilities will include:

Resident Liaison & Communication:

  • Issuing clear notices regarding construction timelines, utility shut-offs, and noise advisories.
  • Hosting town halls or information sessions to explain the renovation process and answer resident questions.
  • Maintaining a visible presence on-site to address immediate resident inquiries and feedback.

Logistics & Relocation Management:

  • Managing the logistics of temporary resident relocation to hospitality suites or off-site housing.
  • Providing hands-on coordination for elderly or disabled residents who need help packing or preparing their units.
  • Coordinating with contractors to secure entry permissions and schedule in-unit renovation work blocks.

Resident Relations & Quality Control:

  • Resolving resident complaints regarding construction dust, noise, property damage, or crew behavior.
  • Logging all resident issues and following up to ensure contractors resolve them satisfactorily.
  • Conducting pre- and post-renovation walkthroughs with residents to document unit conditions.

The work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30.

Your Qualifications:

The selected candidate will balance strong project management skills with high empathy and conflict-resolution abilities. Excellent time management skills to handle moving schedules for dozens of households simultaneously will also be key to success in this role.

  • 2+ years in affordable housing, property management, or community outreach, ideally during a renovation or relocation project, is required.

  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations and calm frustrated or anxious individuals is required.

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer highly competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including great health benefits, 13 paid holidays, vacation time, 401k match, life and disability insurance, employee assistance program, an extra paid day off during your birthday month, and more! You will love our family-friendly workplace and healthy work-life balance at Maloney.

Pay Range: $35-40/hour depending on previous experience.
