Job description

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Facilities Manager to join the team in our Guam & CNMI Region.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate's degree in facilities management, related discipline or equivalent work experience in facilities management, construction, project coordination, or related field required
  • Five (5) years of experience in facilities management, electrical, mechanical, or related field required
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability to coordinate project requirements with other Business Units (i.e., ATM installation, branch relocations, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, equipment and maintenance practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Windows operating system
  • Working knowledge of setup and troubleshooting of network hardware and operating systems, a plus 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to read construction drawing and schematics 
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines to completion in a timely manner with quality results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy as needed to create quality deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and as a team

The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Facilities & Capital Projects Manager and works closely with the Guam & CNMI Region Manager. In this role, they will coordinate the maintenance, repair, and improvement projects for branches and other bank-owned properties in the Guam & CNMI region. The Facilities Manager supports the facilities team by ensuring projects are organized, tracked and completed efficiently.

This position requires maintaining and fostering strong relationships with cross-functional teams including project managers, Maite building tenants, maintenance personnel, and external vendors to ensure timely, successful completion of small projects, repairs and maintenance as directed; and guaranteeing that all facilities comply with safety standards and provide a clean, safe and functional environment for employees and Bank customers.
