ProSource, a leader in the right of way, acquisition, and relocation industry, is searching for a Relocation Agent for various projects located in Minnesota. Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, ProSource is poised for expansion and growth and are looking for the perfect Relocation Agent to add to our team.

This position will be worked in Minnesota, ideal candidate will live within commutable distance.

Description:

The Relocation Specialist will be responsible for working directly and independently with businesses, homeowners, and tenants for review and eligibility of URA benefits as it pertains to relocation of displacees. This role represents independent execution within the mid-level tier of ProSource’s Acquisition Career Framework.

Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions:

The Relocation Specialist will be responsible for the following Tasks:

  • Support the preparation of relocation plan development.
  • Prepares and presents relocation notices and correspondence with those displaced.
  • Assist those displaced in locating suitable housing in the community.
  • Assist those displaced in locating community resources.
  • Performs outreach to appropriate agencies and other stakeholders regarding relocation services.
  • Meets regularly with ProSource management and client to discuss progress, problems, and plans.
  • Assist those displaced in completing relocation claim forms.
  • Coordinates meeting(s) and DSS inspections of replacement properties.
  • Stay current on applicable HUD’s relocation policies and procedures.
  • Prepare necessary project documents, reports, and recommendations for client and ProSource management.
  • Review cases for compliance and quality.
  • Any other task as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, Real Estate, or equivalent on-the-job experience required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in administrating Uniform Relocation Assistance (URA) benefits; eligible project participants required.
  • (Recognized State) Notary Public
  • Demonstrated good judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex/detailed data.
  • Knowledge of social service programs and operations.
  • Knowledge of laws and ethics pertaining to data privacy.
  • Ability to utilize effective interviewing techniques.
  • Being able to work with a diverse population, low income and individuals with mental illness and physical disability.
  • Positive can-do attitude and resolution orientation and willingness to engage in a collaborative process.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The Relocation Agent will spend a significant amount of time working in an office environment, using a computer and other standard office equipment. The position will require regular travel to meet with landowners, businesses, or any other viable entities. The job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time and may involve some light lifting or carrying documents or equipment.
