Talent Acquisition Specialist | Build Talent That Powers ConMet

Due to retirement, ConMet is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Corporate HR team at our headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. We are looking for an experienced recruiter with HR generalist experience.

In this role, youโ€™ll partner with HR leaders, hiring managers, and business teams to improve recruiting processes, strengthen the candidate experience, and support workforce needs across the company. Your primary focus will be full-cycle recruiting โ€” from job creation and sourcing through interviewing, hiring, and onboarding โ€” while also supporting ConMetโ€™s North American manufacturing HR teams.ย  ย In addition, this job supports HR administrative functions and contributes to ConMetโ€™s continued commitment to employee development.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an individual contributor role. Upon the retirement of the current TA Manager, you will serve as the primary recruiter for ConMet.

This is an onsite role based at ConMetโ€™s corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. It is not hybrid or remote. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation; relocation assistance is available.

This position may require up to 10% U.S. travel to support recruiting at ConMet plant locations and attend company sponsored job fairs.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Source and recruit top talent while representing the ConMet brand
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create effective job descriptions and postings
  • Screen resumes and conduct competency-based phone interviews for professional and management roles
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, including travel arrangements when needed
  • Manage external recruiting agencies and staffing partners
  • Support HR generalist and administrative functions as needed
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to special projects
  • Support sourcing strategies to attract and assess candidates creatively
  • Partner with colleges and professional associations to promote ConMet opportunities
  • As a member in Human Resources, complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements.ย  Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.ย 
  • Utilizes UKG/UltiPro and recruiting tools to ConMetโ€™s advantage. Serves as the subject matter expert, recommends and implements improvements to systems and processes, and trains the HR team as needed.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • HR generalist experience
  • Manufacturing and/or engineering experience preferred
  • Experience with UKG/MyPro Recruiting platform highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • The full salary range for the position, across all geographies, is $84,000 - $144,000 per year.ย  The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 โ€“ September 30.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package, including medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability protection.
  • Vacation plan โ€“ ConMet offers exempt employees a paid vacation benefit that provides the flexibility to take time off from work based on factors including good discretion, sound performance, and consideration of overall team and business needs.
  • Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year
  • ConMet offers an extremely strong retirement package:
    • ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year.
