Youth For Tomorrow is a 501 (c) (3) and a faith based, non-profit organization, founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced and committed to serving at-risk youth.

Salary Range:  $90,000 - $100,000

Position SummaryYouth For Tomorrow (YFT) has one opening in the Education Department. YFT is seeking one Special Education Teacher to become part of a great team and an administration who values professional development along with serving children and families. The Teacher will play a vital role in supporting student success through a variety of instructional methods, educational materials, and technology. This position requires collaboration with (LEAs) to manage, review, schedule, and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Teacher will also assist general education staff and ensure accurate communication and documentation of school and student information.

A key responsibility of this role is maintaining ongoing communication and collaboration with internal departments, including House Coordinators, Therapists, Case Managers, and other Teachers, to ensure each student’s care is comprehensive and continuously advancing.

The ideal candidate will be committed to utilizing all available resources and strategies to promote student growth and achievement.

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with the emphasis being on Special Education
  • Must possess a Certification by the Virginia State Department of Education.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Must also be able to manage documentation and other tasks with technology.
