Advanced Information Technologist - Associate Cloud Engineer

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Advanced Information Technologist - Associate Cloud Engineer for the Digital Infrastructure Segment of a Proprietary Program in Saint Louis, MO.

We seek a passionate and talented Cloud Engineer that will work with the DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Product Security Engineering, Cyber and Information Technology teams to support deployment of software applications and tools in a Cloud environment. The engineer in this position will focus on bridging the gap between 3rd party applications and scalable cloud infrastructure. This position will focus on vendor integration, licensing compliance and ensure applications run optimally in the cloud.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deployment & Integration:Orchestrate the installation and configuration of complex COTS packages (e.g. Engineering tools, Product Lifecycle Management, Manufacturing Operations Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning application) on a cloud platform. Maintain these COTS tools throughout the software lifecycle and document changes in the configuration management database.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Develop and maintainTerraform, ARM, and Bicep scripts to provision the specific compute, storage, and networking requirements mandated by COTS vendors.

  • Vendor & License Management:Collaborate with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to validate architecture, manage software licenses, and ensure for license checks complies with security firewalls. Assists in license dashboard metrics generation and collection.

  • Environment Standardization:Maintain consistency across dev, test, and production environments to prevent "configuration drift" in proprietary application stacks.

  • Performance Tuning:Optimize the underlying cloud resources to meet vendor- and contract-specified performance benchmarks. Assist in efforts to scale both horizontally and vertically

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Hazelwood, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time

This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

  • A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 1+ years of experience with Public Cloud Platforms

  • 1+ years of experience with DevOps

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management Systems

  • Security+ Certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8140 Certification Requirements)
