Berger Transfer & Storage is seeking a CLAIMS ADJUSTER in Roseville, MN. Our Claims Adjuster is responsible for researching claims by working with various areas of the business to collect information regarding incidents presented to the claims department. This individual must be detail oriented and enjoy working in a task/deadline driven position.
Responsibilities for our CLAIMS ADJUSTER include but are not limited to:
  • Opening and entering claims daily;
  • Process claims for various Berger agents and national accounts;
  • Communicate daily with customers;
  • Maintain up to date information in the Berger Claim System;
  • Work with General Managers, Customer Service, Operations, Drivers, etc. to obtain accurate information to process a claim;
  • Answer Claim Department main phone line and determine correct course of action;
  • Assist with managing the Corporate Claims Inbox;
  • Assign outside repair vendors (within the Berger and Allied networks) based on location and expertise;
  • Maintain required reports;
  • Submit vendor payments and allocate claim responsibility for supervisor approval on a weekly basis;
  • Scanning documents into our company imaging system;
  • Filing claim files once claims are closed out.

Qualifications to apply for this role are:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required);
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service and/or office experience preferred;
  • Excellent customer service, communication and conflict resolution skills;
  • Well organized, detail oriented and the ability to complete tasks on schedule;
  • Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook knowledge;
  • Ability to compose letters and emails in a professional manner;
  • Basic accounting knowledge a plus;
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently;
  • Good decision maker;
  • Ability to multi-task within a fast paced, high demand environment, handle a high volume workload while meeting deadlines and constantly changing priorities
