A Relocation Opportunity Data Analyst is a professional who gathers, analyzes, and interprets data related to employee or organizational relocations. Their role involves assessing relocation trends, costs, and opportunities to help companies make informed decisions about moving employees or offices. They may also evaluate geographic data, compensation packages, and market conditions to optimize relocation strategies. These analysts typically work with HR, real estate, and finance teams to support workforce mobility initiatives and ensure smooth transitions during relocations.

Job description

Description:

Do you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful business decisions? Are you the type of analyst who asks "why" instead of simply reporting "what"? If so, A&K Railroad Materials is looking for you.

For more than 65 years, A&K Railroad Materials has been a trusted leader in supplying new and used railroad track materials across North America. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Data Analyst who is passionate about solving business problems, improving processes, and helping leaders make smarter decisions through data.

This isn't a reporting-only position. You'll work closely with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Accounting to uncover opportunities, improve performance, and build dashboards and analytics that drive real business results.

Requirements:

What You'll Bring
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel
  • Ability to analyze operational, financial, or sales data and communicate meaningful insights
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
Why You'll Love Working Here

We're building more than railroad infrastructure—we're building a culture where trust, accountability, teamwork, and results come first. We value people who take ownership, challenge assumptions respectfully, and enjoy finding better ways to solve problems.

We offer:

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Career Growth Opportunities

If you're looking for an opportunity where your analysis directly influences business decisions—not just another reporting role—we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today! Our application takes about 3 minutes, and qualified candidates can expect to hear from our recruiting team within 24–48 hours.
