POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager serves as the central coordinator for new projects across the Jean-Georges portfolio, ensuring that development initiatives, restaurant openings, renovations, and company-wide implementations remain organized, on schedule, and moving forward.

Working directly with the COO and CEO, this role is responsible for managing project schedules, maintaining critical paths, coordinating stakeholders, tracking deliverables, and driving accountability across multiple concurrent projects. Serving as the central coordinator for new projects across the organization, this individual ensures that teams remain aligned, deadlines are met, risks are identified early, and projects continue progressing from planning through execution.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple active projects and competing priorities. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys coordinating people, managing timelines, solving problems, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. Hospitality, construction, development, or project management experience is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESExecutive Partnership & Strategic Project Support

• Work directly with the COO and CEO to support company initiatives, development projects, capital improvements, and operational implementations

• Participate in executive meetings, development discussions, ownership meetings, and project planning sessions

• Serve as a central point of coordination between executive leadership and project stakeholders

• Prepare project updates, executive summaries, presentations, meeting materials, and status reports

• Organize project priorities and ensure executive initiatives continue progressing according to established timelines

Project Planning & Critical Path Management

• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, timelines, critical paths, and milestone tracking across multiple active projects

• Ensure project deliverables are assigned, tracked, and completed within established deadlines

• Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and items requiring escalation

• Maintain project dashboards, action-item trackers, status reports, and accountability tools

• Coordinate project meetings, document key decisions, distribute meeting notes, and track follow-up items through completion

• Drive accountability across departments and project teams to ensure commitments are met and deadlines remain on track

• Manage competing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining organization, visibility, and communication

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate communication between operations, culinary, finance, HR, marketing, technology, purchasing, design, construction teams, and external consultants

• Ensure stakeholders remain informed, aligned, and working toward established project milestones

• Facilitate project execution by organizing information, tracking outstanding items, and ensuring timely follow-up across all parties

• Support decision-making processes by gathering required information, identifying open items, and escalating issues as needed

• Maintain visibility into project status and communicate progress, challenges, and next steps to stakeholders

Restaurant Development, Construction & Capital Projects

• Support restaurant openings, renovations, facility improvements, relocations, and capital projects from planning through execution

• Coordinate project schedules involving architects, designers, engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, landlords, and ownership groups

• Track permitting timelines, construction milestones, procurement schedules, equipment deliveries, inspections, and opening readiness requirements

• Maintain development timelines and ensure critical path items remain on schedule

• Coordinate project turnover from development teams to operating teams

• Assist with pre-opening planning, operational readiness activities, and implementation schedules

Implementation & Operational Projects

• Coordinate company-wide operational initiatives including technology rollouts, systems implementations, process improvements, training initiatives, and organizational projects

• Assist in developing implementation plans, timelines, communication strategies, and rollout schedules

• Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency

• Ensure successful deployment of new programs, systems, and initiatives across the organization

• Track implementation milestones and coordinate follow-up across departments

Budget & Resource Tracking

• Assist with project budgets, capital expenditure tracking, and financial reporting

• Monitor project-related expenditures against approved budgets

• Support forecasting, reporting, and project documentation for executive leadership

• Maintain organized project files, records, contracts, schedules, and reporting systems

Ownership & External Partner Coordination

• Serve as a point of coordination for ownership groups, developers, consultants, architects, contractors, landlords, and external vendors

• Prepare project updates, presentations, status reports, and executive summaries for stakeholders

• Ensure timely communication and follow-through between all project participants

• Track outstanding decisions, approvals, and action items to ensure project momentum is maintained

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of project management experience within hospitality, construction, development, real estate, or related industries

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

• Experience managing project schedules, critical paths, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong follow-through and accountability management abilities

• Ability to coordinate and influence teams without direct reporting authority

• Highly proficient in project planning, organization, and execution

• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple active initiatives

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or mixed-use development experience

• Construction, renovation, or capital project management experience

• Experience supporting restaurant openings and pre-opening activities

• Experience coordinating architects, contractors, consultants, and ownership groups

• Formal project management training or certification is a plus

COMPENSATION  
The base pay range for this position is a salary range of $115,000-130,000 per year.  The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
