Compensation

This position is hourly. The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $26.44/hour.

Position Overview:

The Grainger Sales Accelerator Program - Government (GSAP) is a 6-month early career development program designed for individuals interested in building a career in Government Sales. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting Grainger's Government Sales organization, focusing on customer acquisition, account growth, and value-based selling. 

Participants will: 

  • Partner with Government Account Representatives to support territory planning, customer strategy, contracting, and growth opportunities. 

  • Engage with customers to understand needs and recommend solutions  

  • Develop and execute a strategy to expand customer relationships and drive value  

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance to build business acumen, and support overall sales development and customer success initiatives. 

  • Track customer activity and performance metrics using Salesforce  

Post-Program Placement 

Upon successful completion, participants may be placed into a Government Sales role within the United States, with a focus on the Western and Northeast regions. Relocation may be required. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree completed between December 2026 and May 2027  

  • Valid driver's license  

  • Willingness to relocate within the U.S.  

  • Ability to travel (15-20%)  

  • Ability to work remotely with a dedicated workspace  

  • No visa sponsorship available  

  • Leadership experience (campus, athletics, or team-based environments)  

  • Experience in goal-oriented or performance-driven roles  

  • Customer-facing experience (retail, service, or internships)  

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills  

  • Interest in a long-term career in industrial sales
