Job description

Serves as a Supervisory Store Associate in a commissary store at a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. The primary purpose of this position is perform as a first line supervisor for Store Associates. Specific assignments vary by individual store and store management requirements.Qualifications:You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of experience Planning, directing or assigning work for employees. Knowledge of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers. Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations. (specialized experience) equivalent to at least GS-6. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.
You will receive credit for all relevant qualifying experience (paid and unpaid), including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Physical requirements: (1) Work involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of commissary products weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. (2) Heavier products are moved with assistance from other workers or by using weight-handling equipment.. Work also involves prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing. You will attest to your ability to perform these physical requirements in the Questionnaire.
