Northrop Grumman is seeking a Paralegal to join the Investigations Group within its Legal and Contracts Department, working primarily from the company's corporate headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The paralegal will report to the Corporate Director and Assistant General Counsel for Investigations and will work as a critical part of a team conducting significant internal investigations and managing the company's relationships with government investigative agencies.
The paralegal's responsibilities may include, among other things:
o Arranging and participating in investigative interviews
o Managing the preservation, collection, and review of documents
o Conducting fact gathering and legal research
o Coordinating with functional groups and management across the company
o Working with law firms and vendors regarding engagements and billing
o Supporting internal budget management and reporting
o Communicating with and preparing information for government agencies
o Providing administrative support for a five-attorney team as needed
To succeed in the role, a candidate must:
o Proactively identify and solve problems independently
o Manage competing priorities to complete work reliably in a fast-paced environment
o Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This position may be filled at a higher level based on the requirements below.
Basic Qualifications Level 3:
o High school diploma and at least 4 years of experience
Basic Qualifications Level 4:
o High school diploma and at least 6 years of experience
Additional Basic qualifications for both levels:
o Expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), SharePoint (or equivalent), and document review platforms
o Experience using complex electronic databases, such as budget analysis and billing systems (e.g., Serengeti Legal Tracker or equivalent)
o Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly to various audiences across a large organization and with government agencies
o Ability to execute tasks and projects independently
o Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective, collaborative relationships with others
o US citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree
o Experience in a corporate law department or a major law firm, with experience working with or for federal government contractors especially valued
o Experience with internal and/or government investigations, including document collection, document review, and interviews
o Expertise in electronic discovery
Primary Level Salary Range: $72,600.00 - $121,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $143,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
