Job Description

  • Support attorneys through all phases of complex civil litigation from case inception through trial.
  • Manage discovery, document review, and document productions.
  • Draft and proofread pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.
  • Prepare deposition summaries, trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness files.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other legal research tools.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, legal research, and brief organization.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor critical court deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and litigation vendors.
  • Organize case files and provide proactive litigation support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of civil litigation defense paralegal experience.
  • Experience supporting litigation in a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
