Job description

Role Summary:


As a Logistics Coordinator you will ensure the on-time outbound flow of goods and materials to our customers. You will provide support to multiple areas including but not limited to shipping, planning, sales and operations.

  • Schedule truckloads and LTL shipments
  • Create AWB and BOL's for FedEx, UPS, DHL & any required trucking companies
  • Work in tandem with export compliance to ensure exports ship correctly
  • Work with project managers, planners and quality to ensure product is prepared to ship
  • Assist with any shipping related inquiries
  • Perform daily and monthly close out activities as needed by accounting
  • Follow exporting requirements including filing EEI's
  • Help schedule jobs to pack based on priorities
  • Attend production meetings to provide updates on upcoming shipments and offer insight on departmental needs as needed
  • Create monthly shipping plans and track progress
  • Keep accurate records for audits
  • Load outbound shipments with fork truck and/or crane on flatbeds and/or trailers
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Other duties as required

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse management
  • Related experience and/or training
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Access)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Crane and forklift experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems such SAP preferred
  • Previous experience with the online systems of FedEx, UPS and other carriers is desired
  • May be required to lift or push up to 50 pounds
  • HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

The pay range for this role is $25.21 - $37.76 per hour.
