Job Overview
The Delivery Merchandiser Relief is allowed to become a part of CCCI's Direct Store Delivery (DSD) team and is responsible for providing superior customer service to the accounts they service. The Delivery Merchandiser Relief is a fast-paced position that delivers and unloads products and fills vending machines or stocks and merchandisers coolers and displays at customer locations on designated vacation or overflow routes.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Deliver and unload product and stocks, fills, merchandises, and rotates product on displays, in walk-in coolers, and cold drink equipment at customer locations on designated vacation or overflow routes by company Merchandising and Service Standards
  • Organize customer's stock room by stacking and arranging products neatly in designated areas and ensure the neat appearance of all CCCI equipment and product in assigned accounts
  • Provide superior customer service to all accounts serviced, foster relationships with account personnel and works to understand customer needs, communicate back to the appropriate manager any customer service issues, and steward CCCI's Purpose Statement to customers and teammates
  • Safely operate all equipment (CDL Class A vehicles, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks) while servicing accounts, assures completion of all safety courses assigned, properly utilizes equipment for the tracking of DOT Hours of Service, and follows all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines
  • Ensure daily company accounting procedures are accurate and complete during the end-of-day check-in including cash and paperwork accountability, inventory accountability, and proper security around company assets such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, tractors, trailers, etc. and reports any issues with equipment to the appropriate manager

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products, or retail environment experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
  • Must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuous lifting environment
  • Ability to lift to 75 pounds, repeatedly and multiple times a day
  • Availability and willingness to work some weekends/holidays

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
  • Valid driver's license for your state of residency and excellent driving history for the last seven years (A 7-year Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed)
  • Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL)
  • Ability to pass and maintain D.O.T. physical requirements

Work environment will vary, including but not limited to exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled
