Job description

Description:

We are looking for high-energy Behavior Technicians who have a passion for helping kids! Our team of Behavior Technicians play an important role in carrying out behavior reduction strategies for our clients--children with autism. Our clients range in ages from 2-18 years old. At our center, you will be supported by BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) who are experts in the field. We are excited to have you help us grow as a company since we opened our doors almost 3 years ago. Our Behavior Technicians work at the center, which fosters unity and allows you to feel part of a team as you work together, rather than doing in-home care. We practice true 1-to-1 ABA Therapy and you will be assigned at least two clients each day (if you work full-time) as you rotate through a schedule. You must agree to complete the 40-hour Relias Registered Behavior Technician Training course before your first day of work if you are not already an RBT. The hours for this part-time position will fall between the hours of 8:30-4:00 PM Mon-Fri, and are typically divided between a morning shift and an afternoon shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possesses basic knowledge of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy, training can be provided upon hire
  • Provides one-to-one ABA Therapy to clients in a clinic-based environment
  • Accepts and incorporate corrective feedback given by supervising BCBA and or Supervisors
  • Follows and implements the supervising BCBA’s treatment plan and recommendations in a fun and child-friendly manner when working with clients
  • Uses software program daily for client session data recording and timely timesheet management (training provided)
  • Must be able to handle emotionally charged situations
  • Ensures that client is always in a safe and positive environment
  • Seeks additional training and feedback from Lead RBT and BCBAs
  • Maintains a professional demeanor at all times when working with clients, families, supervisors, and coworkers
  • Abides by all policies and procedures of Arizona Autism Clinic
  • Attends and executes professional development, trainings, and staff meetings
  • Assists with monthly parent workshop
  • Daily cleaning duties assigned on a rotation basis

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of the Registered Behavior Technician 40-hour Relias online training course before your first day. We provide you with this course!
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years old
  • Experience in working with individuals with autism or other disabilities
  • Able to lift at least 40 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must pass a Background Check
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (still apply if you don't have this yet)
  • Must live in Arizona or have immediate plans to move to Arizona

Preferred Qualifications: (But not required for hire)

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Applied Behavior Analysis Intervention experience
  • ABA Software Data Collection Experience
