A Reliable Courier job involves transporting packages, documents, or goods from one location to another safely and on time. Couriers may work independently or for a delivery service, using vehicles such as cars, bikes, or vans. Responsibilities typically include picking up and delivering items, obtaining signatures, and ensuring timely and secure transport. Reliability, time management, and attention to detail are key skills for this role.
Reliable Couriers commonly encounter challenges such as navigating traffic congestion, managing multiple deliveries under tight deadlines, and dealing with unexpected situations like inclement weather or incorrect addresses. To overcome these, it’s important to plan routes in advance, stay adaptable, and use route optimization tools provided by your employer. AHA is currently looking for a qualified and reliable Courier to transport specimens. AHA's Couriers travel to the nursing facilities (ex. senior nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, or private homes) we service, to pick-up specimens. AHA Couriers are also responsible for transporting specimens between AHA locations and meeting AHA's Phlebotomists to pick-up specimens.
Job Requirements· Valid state-issued driver license
· Clean driving record for last 5-years
· Must complete criminal background requirements
· Some states require additional background check including fingerprinting
· Available to work necessary schedule
· Must possess a passion towards safety and customer service
