Job Summary:
MUFG is seeking a highly motivated Certified Sr. Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to build a robust, scalable, and reliable web application environment in AWS, support the configuration, deployment and the delivery of AWS services, oversee day to day operations and play a pivotal role in supporting and optimizing our web applications.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain highly available and scalable web application infrastructure on AWS. Supporting the application teams in deployment from beginning to end.
  • Leverage core AWS foundation services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53, etc.) to architect modern solutions.
  • Ensure cloud systems and solutions follow a secure by design pattern.
  • Monitoring cloud environments for security incidents and ensuring rapid response through automated mechanisms.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, including authoring, reviewing, and maintaining modules for AWS resources.
  • Configure and optimize Application Load Balancers (ALB) and Network Load Balancers (NLB) for application traffic management.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to networking, web services, and application performance within AWS environments.
  • Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using AWS-native tools.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, and security through automation and new AWS services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide advanced technical support for critical production systems.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Demonstrated expertise with AWS core foundation services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, including writing and maintaining complex configurations.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with AWS networking (VPC, subnets, security groups, route tables, etc.).
  • Proven experience configuring and managing Application Load Balancers (ALB) and Network Load Balancers (NLB).
  • Solid understanding of web services architecture, deployment, and operational best practices.
  • Direct experience building and maintaining AWS CI/CD pipelines using services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or similar tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar languages) a plus.

Preferred Skills
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Openshift, ECS, EKS) and serverless computing (Lambda).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Dynatrace).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience

The typical base pay range for this role is between:
Non-NY/NJ - $112K - $137K
NY/NJ - $127k - $160k
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
