Mechanical Reliability Engineer

We're looking for a Mechanical & Reliability Engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about improving equipment performance, plant reliability, and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in maximizing equipment reliability and plant performance, directly impacting our ability to meet customer commitments and business goals. This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with process, electrical, and automation engineers to solve complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Own equipment reliability: Provide day-to-day mechanical engineering support across plant systems and infrastructure

Lead and support capital projects: Define scope, drive front-end loading, and execute minor to mid-size capital improvements, while contributing to major projects

Drive reliability programs: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies

Solve root causes at scale: Lead Root Cause Investigations (RCFA) and apply structured problem-solving tools (FMEA, Six Sigma, etc.)

Improve plant performance: Identify and implement solutions to eliminate equipment downtime and improve availability

Leverage data for impact: Analyze performance trends and validate corrective actions to ensure sustainable improvements

Collaborate across teams: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver business results

Enable workforce capability: Train operators and mechanics to strengthen reliability practices across the site

What You Bring

BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

5+ years in manufacturing, reliability, or mechanical engineering roles

Strong knowledge of equipment design, selection, troubleshooting, and maintenance

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment diagrams

Experience with PSM (Process Safety Management) and a strong safety-first mindset

Hands-on experience with reliability tools such as FMEA, RCFA, Six Sigma

Preferred: Machine safety experience

Proven ability to troubleshoot, influence, and collaborate across functions

Strong communication skills and a high level of ownership and attention to detail
