The Sales Engineer is responsible for all aspects of supporting the design and pricing associated with Sales of EyeQ’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Virtual Guarding product direct to the end user. Accurately estimating correct material and labor costs associated with each installation project, design and application is the primary responsibility of this position. The role requires close collaboration with the EyeQ sales teams and executive sponsors of the CRE business line. In field site walks are expected to be a necessary part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct labor, time and materials requirements for all assigned projects
  • Increase project profitability through comprehensive cost estimating
  • Development of an efficient cost estimation framework and process for quoting CRE opportunities
  • Prepare estimates and bid proposals
  • Understand unique requirements for CRE specific vertical applications:
  • Office tower, shopping center, industrial park, multi-family/residential buildings
  • Ensure mission (services provided to the client) is clearly understood in collaboration with sales personnel
  • Managing sales documentation flow related to sales estimation and survey forms, pricing, site maps and layouts
  • Create and present reports to upper management
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with project management, installation and services teams
  • Read and interpret customer drawings
  • Provide ongoing training & education to Sales team, client’s and subcontractors as needed
  • Any other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Physical Restrictions

  • Must be able to travel and walk sites

Required Qualities & Skillset

  • Minimum of 1+ years project management or sales estimation experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years security industry field technician experience
  • Knowledge of Security Products and Services, Specifically Video Surveillance Design/ Application
  • Proficient in office suite
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Available in-office in Dallas, TX
  • Able to travel to sites as needed in the US
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Licenses, Certificates & Other Requirements
