Job description

AMER & APJ PR Manager Req

As the AMER & APJ Public Relations Manager, you will lead Ping Identity's earned media strategy across North America and key Asia-Pacific markets. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you will drive high-impact coverage that advances our global go-to-market priorities across identity, AI, and security.

This role sits at the center of shaping how the market understands digital identity in the age of AI. You will partner closely with regional marketing, product and solutions marketing, and social media, and collaborate with the EMEA PR Manager to ensure consistent, compelling narratives across regions. You'll also work hand-in-hand with the social media manager to extend the reach and impact of every story across channels.

We're looking for a strategic, hands-on communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is comfortable working directly with senior leaders.

You Will:

  • Lead and execute integrated PR strategies across AMER and APJ that drive measurable outcomes, including brand awareness, executive visibility, share of voice, and message pull-through.
  • Own the regional media engine, including story development and pitch creation, and securing coverage, while building strong relationships with top-tier business, technology, and cybersecurity media.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with US and APJ PR agencies, including planning, pitching, deliverables, and performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic PR calendar aligned to product launches, campaigns, events, and key market moments.
  • Partner with the EMEA PR Manager to ensure global alignment and consistency of messaging, while tailoring execution for regional relevance.
  • Collaborate with the social media manager to amplify earned media, integrate PR into broader campaigns, and maximize cross-channel impact.
  • Build and execute executive thought leadership programs, including bylines, media commentary, podcasts, and speaking opportunities on topics such as AI, agentic AI, verified trust, fraud, and digital identity.
  • Lead or support data-driven storytelling initiatives, translating insights into compelling narratives and campaigns in partnership with agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and support spokespeople with messaging, briefing documents, and Q&A to ensure confident, consistent, and effective media engagement.
  • Track, analyze, and report on PR performance across regions, using insights to refine strategy and support reputation management and incident response as needed.

You Have:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in B2B public relations, with significant experience leading programs in North America; experience supporting or working in APJ markets is strongly preferred.
  • Proven success managing PR agencies and delivering measurable results across multiple regions and programs.
  • Strong media relationships and a track record of securing top-tier coverage across business, technology, and cybersecurity outlets.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex identity and AI topics into clear, compelling narratives for both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience building and executing launch- and campaign-driven PR programs tied to product marketing, events, and executive visibility.
  • Comfort working directly with senior executives and regional leaders, with strong judgment, discretion, and executive presence.
  • Excellent project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively across time zones and cross-functional teams.
  • A data-driven mindset, with experience using PR metrics, media intelligence tools, and insights to optimize performance.
  • Experience with modern PR and measurement tools and collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Asana).

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Direct experience leading PR efforts in APJ (e.g., Australia, Singapore, or broader Asia-Pacific) for a global B2B organization.
  • Experience collaborating across global PR teams, including EMEA.
  • Established relationships with relevant business, technology, and security journalists in AMER and/or APJ.
  • Experience integrating PR with social, web, and campaign marketing efforts.
  • Background in identity, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, or related security domains.
