Director of Imaging Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $53.46 - $99.28 an hour - Full Time, Salaried

Boulder Community Health is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Imaging to lead imaging services across the hospital and affiliated locations. This key leadership role is responsible for the operational, financial, clinical, and regulatory oversight of a comprehensive imaging program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered diagnostic services.

The Director of Imaging partners closely with physicians, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to drive operational excellence, quality improvement, service growth, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, accreditation management, workflow optimization, equipment and technology planning, and the leadership and development of imaging managers, supervisors, and staff.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative healthcare leader with a strong background in hospital-based imaging services, experience leading high-performing teams, and a demonstrated ability to improve operations, enhance patient and provider satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. This individual will champion innovation, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and help shape the future of imaging services at BCH.

Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Imaging required. •Master’s degree in Hospital Management or Business Administration preferred. •Actively registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists in Radiography or related field (RDMS etc.) required. •Five years hospital-based acute care experience required. •Three years management and leadership experience required.

Responsibilities •Plan, organize, and direct Imaging Services across Boulder Community Health and affiliated locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. •Lead departmental operations, including staffing, budgeting, workflow optimization, quality improvement, resource planning, and performance management. •Establish and maintain department policies, procedures, quality control programs, and competency standards while ensuring ongoing staff education, orientation, and professional development. •Oversee compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, quality, and safety requirements, including ACR, MQSA, Joint Commission, CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable standards. •Develop and manage capital and operating budgets, monitor volumes and expenses, evaluate equipment and technology needs, and support long-term departmental planning. •Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, managers, and staff through coaching, performance evaluations, competency assessments, and succession planning. •Partner with physicians, hospital leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve communication, solve operational challenges, enhance patient experience, and advance strategic initiatives. •Monitor and improve departmental performance through data analysis, quality metrics, patient satisfaction, staffing effectiveness, financial stewardship, and operational excellence. •Champion innovation, workflow redesign, service expansion, and change management initiatives that support growth and continuous improvement. •Serve as a trusted leader, role model, and representative of Imaging Services on hospital committees, task forces, and organizational initiatives while fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and customer service.
