Job description

Surgical Veterinary Technician

Fillmore Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time Surgical RVT, Technician, or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We're a well-established, family-owned practice with deep roots in the Colorado Springs community, known for our supportive culture and commitment to high-quality care. Why Fillmore? What you'll be part of:

  • Companion animal practice with some exotics (pocket pets, rabbits, small reptiles)
  • 4 DVMs supported by a strong technician and assistant team
  • 6 exam rooms and a dedicated surgery suite
  • In-house diagnostics: digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Idexx lab, Zoetis Imagyst Surgery
  • Surgery 3–4 days/week (dentals, spay/neuter, mass removals, and more advanced procedures)
  • Mix of wellness, surgery, urgent care, and chronic case management

Your role: This is a hands-on position where technicians are truly valued. You'll work at the top of your license—supporting anesthesia, managing surgical patients, educating clients, and playing a key role in patient care from start to finish.

Schedule: Full-time: 4-day work week (10-hour shifts) Monday–Friday hours, no weekends Surgery shifts start at 7:15 AM
