Job description

Paulding Care Center Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for an experienced Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team!

Physical Therapy Assistants work closely with Physical Therapists and other PTAs to provide rehabilitative care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel residents and their families on what to do following treatment.
  • Observe the residents they are working with before, during and after therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.
  • Assign specific exercises for the resident and help the patients do these exercises.
  • Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help residents regain movement and reduce pain.
  • Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat residents.
  • Assist residents when moving to and from the therapy area.

Requirements:

  • Candidates considered must possess a valid Georgia PTA License.
  • Must have at least (1) year experience as a PTA in a long-term care setting.
  • Must be friendly, professional and reliable.
