Job description

Essential Job Functions:

The Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for the EPMU CAS Section and the COR. The Project Manager must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for the EPMU CAS Section and the COR, with one designated alternate authorized to act on all contract matters during absences
  • Apply federal acquisition process knowledge and experience across all assigned program management activities
  • Demonstrate understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle from inception of need through contract, program, and project completion
  • Apply strong Program and Project Management principles in a Federal Government context, supported by FAC-P/PM Certification or experience with major systems acquisitions
  • Interpret, apply, and create acquisition and program/project management procedures, rules, policies, regulations, and guides
  • Utilize MS Excel and other database and project management tracking tools at a high level of proficiency to support reporting and tracking requirements

Requirements:

•Minimum ten (10) years of experience in program management support services

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

•Federal acquisition process knowledge and experience

•Understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle from inception of need to contract/program/project completion

•Excellent computer/reporting skills, including high proficiency in MS Excel and other database/project management tracking tools

•Ability to interpret, apply, or create acquisition and program/project management procedures, rules, policy, regulations, and guides

•Strong understanding of Program/Project Management as it relates to the Federal Government (demonstrated by FAC-P/PM Certification or experience with major systems acquisitions)

Preferred:

•Contracting management experience

•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior Federal personnel

•Ability to read and interpret government policy, regulations, and directives and apply those interpretations to all PWS activities

•Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification
