Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist accepts the responsibility and accountability for the duties of a Cat Scan Technologist. Must be registered by the A.R.R.T. The overall goal for the Cat Scan Technologist is to provide optimum care to the patient, physician, and patientโ€™s family in accordance with the standards of care at Fairview Park Hospital. 

What you will do in this role: 

  • Provide quality Cat Scan exams for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Maintain and apply current Cat Scan standards and clinical competency including age competency.
  • Apply critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve.
  • Quality patient care, contrast media administration, quality control, patient documentation, record maintenance.
  • Meet the personal and practical needs of patients and families.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Computed Tomography Technologist must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
