Get to Know Your Team:
  • Oklahoma Heart Institute offers 24/7 catheterization labs, cardiac rehabilitation and a heart failure center. In addition, OHI is involved in over 200 cutting-edge research studies across the vast amount of specialties within the system.
  • The clinical assistant is responsible for transporting, rooming, and preparing patients for physician, advanced practice providers, and nurse clinic visits.
  • In addition to performing the job duties assigned to the Clinical Assistant will provide additional support to the RN with participation in clinic preparation and chart abstraction as delegated by the RN.
  • The Clinical Assistant is willing and able to travel and function independently in other clinics.
  • The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for additional clinical responsibilities such as supply inventory and/or cardiac monitor appointment scheduling and inventory.
  • The Clinical Assistant will not administer any immunizations or injectable drugs.

Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Medical Assistant role or a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.
  • For OHI, graduate of a Certified Nurse Assistant Program and a competency checklist will be considered.
