RCS Manager- System Patient Access

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Hospital Patient Access leadership team in the role of RCS Manager.
The System Patient Access Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Department Registration, ensuring a seamless and compassionate access experience for every patient, every day. This is a fully onsite role Monday-Friday day shift with occasional rounding to evenings and weekends required.
This leader is deeply committed to creating an exceptional patient experience by making registration processes easy, efficient, and patient-centered. They model a service mindset that prioritizes dignity, respect, and compassion in every interaction.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
This position is responsible for leading Revenue Cycle operations for all assigned Revenue Cycle Services teams. Provides departmental administrative decision making, leadership, and strategic planning, including the efficient and productive use of personnel and other financial resources. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks. The incumbent must possess strong subject matter expertise and leadership in order to support a diverse and complex operating environment and span of control.
• Requires strong knowledge of business and reimbursement management with an undergraduate degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience with hospital or physician billing strongly preferred.
• Requires demonstrable knowledge of healthcare billing terminology concepts and processes.
• Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
• Requires the ability to organize and manage work to achieve performance expectations.
• Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
• Requires ability to manage within the confines of a budget.
• Requires a passionate commitment to continuous performance improvement.
