Job description

Valley Medical Group, part of the Valley Health System in Paramus, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Regional Medical Director for its growing Primary Care Service Line. This role involves a dyad relationship with practice managers and service line leadership, providing physician leadership to clinical and support staff. The Director will dedicate 80% of their time to clinical responsibilities and 20% to administrative duties, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct medical care to primary care patients in an office-based setting
  • Demonstrate and model service excellence behavior
  • Establish cooperative working relationships with all individuals
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Utilize appropriate and effective patient care plans
  • Complete documentation concurrently as patients are seen
  • Assist in the oversight of operational functions at the applicable office/s in collaboration with the Service Line leadership
  • Make recommendations to service line leadership for changes to medical protocols

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation model with generous wRVU productivity incentives (uncapped potential)
  • Compensation range from $265K to $275K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board eligible or certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required
