About the role
The Regional Operations Manager supports the Director of Supply Chain by overseeing the daily operational performance of assigned Distribution Centers, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate order fulfillment, high productivity, and consistent execution of company standards. This role partners closely with Distribution Center Managers to improve operational performance, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the assigned region.
What you'll do
  • Oversee Distribution Center Managers in the daily execution of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, replenishment, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Monitor workflow planning, labor allocation, and productivity metrics to ensure on-time order processing and efficient labor utilization.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all assigned Distribution Centers.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews, facility audits, and performance assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Distribution Center Managers and Supervisors to improve operational performance and leadership effectiveness.
  • Analyze key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and customer service.
  • Partner with Customer Service, Procurement, Logistics, Sales, and Human Resources to resolve operational issues and support business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing operational waste, improving workflow efficiency, and increasing labor productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, operational audits, and root cause analysis of inventory variances.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and warehouse operational standards.
  • Oversee facility compliance, warehouse housekeeping, equipment utilization, and operational readiness.
  • Support staffing strategies, workforce planning to reduce overtime, timely disciplinary actions, and employee development within assigned Distribution Centers.
  • Assist with implementation of new operational processes, technology enhancements, warehouse expansions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide regular operational reporting and recommendations to the Director of Supply Chain regarding productivity, service levels, labor performance, and operational risks.
  • Travel 25-50%, depending on assigned Distribution Centers and project needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution center management experience with multi-site leadership preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience coaching and developing Distribution Center Managers and warehouse leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Proficiency with WMS systems, inventory management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
