    Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool

    Job Type: Full-Time | 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period

    Schedule: 6 shifts of 12 hours, Days (7 AM - 7 PM), Rotating Weekends and Holidays

    Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 available for eligible candidates

    About Our Team

    The Staffing Pool offers RN coverage across various units, including Med/Surg, Neuro/Ortho/Peds, Rehab, and Cardiac. Our Float Pool RNs are versatile professionals who excel in fast-paced settings and confidently support multiple clinical areas. This position provides a fulfilling experience with diverse patient populations and opportunities to enhance critical thinking and clinical skills.

    Your Contributions

    As a Float Pool RN, you will:

    • Implement care plans, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments.
    • Document care provided promptly and accurately.
    • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team, physicians, patients, and families.
    • Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
    • Exhibit initiative and adaptability by floating to various departments as needed.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
    • Assess educational needs and provide culturally and age-appropriate education to patients and families.
    • Advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients.
    • Engage in performance improvement initiatives and required training; may work in different shifts/units and take on-call assignments.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    What We Are Looking For

    Candidates should possess a current RN license in Michigan and have an associate's degree from an accredited nursing program (a bachelor's degree is preferred).

    Additional qualifications include:

    • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification
    • A minimum of 1-2 years of bedside RN experience
    • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications (preferred)
    • 2-4 years of critical care experience (preferred)
