Overview

We are looking for an experienced and resultโ€‘driven Field Sales Manager to lead our Stationers channel field sales team in Italy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve the company's sales targets and objectives. You will manage a team of regional account managers and sales representatives across Italy, build strong customer relationships, and drive the growth of our products in the Italian market.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sales strategies: create and implement effective sales plans to drive the growth of BICโ€™s products in the Italian market, ensuring alignment with the company's overall sales objectives and the strategic direction of the channel.
  2. Team leadership and management: lead, train, and motivate the field sales team to achieve sales targets and ensure high performance. Provide guidance and support to the team, and monitor their sales activities to maximize productivity.
  3. Territory management: optimize sales coverage and ensure efficient territory management to maximize market penetration and customer outreach.
  4. Customer relationship management: build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to drive market share growth, the correct product placement, efficient promotions, and sales growth.
  5. Performance tracking and reporting: monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management. Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  6. Budget management: collaborate with the sales and finance teams to develop sales budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure costโ€‘effective sales operations.
  7. Crossโ€‘functional collaboration: work closely with marketing, customer service, supply chain, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and alignment with overall company objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Masterโ€™s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in field sales management within the FMCG/CPG sector; experience with stationers or traditional trade channel is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a track record of leading highโ€‘performing sales teams.
  • Excellent understanding of the Italian landscape, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
  • Analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to drive sales strategies.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in using salesโ€‘management software and tools for performance tracking and reporting.
