Job Description:

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overall operational excellence for the properties in their area and will be a leader who exemplifies and embodies our Culture. This role will support all disciplines to deliver outstanding results, lead strategic initiatives, drive associate development, and work with the team to maximize revenues and grow profit across our portfolio. This leader will work with a remarkable group of associates who insist you are highly communicative, dedicated, balanced, and collaborative. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative strategic strategies that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Job Requirements:

  • Work jointly with other company leaders to ensure that key objectives are met.
  • Work with all senior leaders to ensure we are leading in associate engagement and loyalty, produce top brand performance in guest satisfaction, deliver accurate forecasts that meet and exceed financial performance. 
  • Have oversight of and mentor highly engaged and top-performing area General Managers to support Associates, Sales, Revenue, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Operations.
  • Coach and mentor all leaders to help them reach their full potential; establish clear expectations in their role.
  • Regularly hold and actively participate in meetings with the properties' Leadership teams to review performance and analyze data and industry trends to improve processes and procedures.
  • Work with leadership on property capital improvements and budget oversite.
  • Conduct monthly property visits to review all aspects of the operation and serve as a cultural ambassador of our core values to all associates.
  • Work closely with sales & marketing and revenue management to help achieve and exceed RevPAR goals.
  • Work with all areas of the leadership teams taking time to understand our programs and how programs or practices affect our operations and culture; be the catalyst to prevent any working silos.
  • Be transparent with all stakeholders, taking the time to understand everyone's responsibilities and how to best partner with the individuals to determine field subject matter experts, celebrate our culture, and seek feedback while holding everyone accountable.
  • Establish regular communication with the field teams to understand their needs, support property initiatives and ensure we are the community's living room. 


Necessary Skills:

  • Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
  • Approachable and easily engage in general conversation to build rapport quickly, outstanding interpersonal skills for a wide range of audiences
  • Must have exceptional organization, follow-through, and excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a proven record of the ability to lead others at all levels of the operations, develop leaders and teams successfully, hold everyone accountable, and produce a unified team
  • Demonstrated success in owner relations within a variety of situations and a track record in achieving results
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a Multi-Property operational oversight role within upper midscale, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality companies- preferred
  • Willingness to travel +/- 80% of the time or when needed; travel will ebb and flow with the needs of the business.
  • Approaches all items with a collaborative effort; values input, and experiences of others look to uncover all areas that need to be addressed to remove any barriers.
  • Passionate for best-in-class results; comfortable in being “the” decision maker when needed yet can “allow” others to take the lead when needed.
  • Prioritizes and organizes work, being adaptable and flexible to accommodate when needed
  • Has a track record of maintaining confidentiality and knows how to use discretion when appropriate; understands the difference between transparency and confidentiality
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
