Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing workforce capability, training systems, certification processes, and workforce readiness across assigned manufacturing locations. This role supports the execution of Manufacturing Development standards by aligning training systems, workforce development initiatives, and certification processes with operational, safety, and quality objectives. The position partners closely with Manufacturing Development, Human Resources, Operations, and plant leadership to support workforce capability, training effectiveness, and operational readiness.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Regional Training & Development Management: Manage execution of Manufacturing Development programs and initiatives across assigned facilities.
  • Workforce Capability Development: Support onboarding, skill progression, certification readiness, and workforce flexibility development.
  • Training Standardization & Certification: Ensure consistent application of training standards, certification processes, and TWI methodology.
  • Training Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership and coaching to Training Coaches, Supervisors, and training teams.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor training effectiveness and workforce readiness KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Training Administration & Compliance: Maintain training records, certification documentation, and compliance-related training.
  • Workforce Planning & Hiring Support: Partner with HR and plant leadership to support workforce planning and hiring decisions.
  • Training Grants & External Partnerships: Support grant opportunities and external workforce development partnerships.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

This position plays a critical role in building and sustaining workforce capability across assigned manufacturing locations and directly influences training effectiveness, certification readiness, safety, quality, and workforce flexibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, workforce development, training, operations, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Up to30% travel

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in manufacturing training and workforce development
  • Lean, TWI, standardized work, or CI experience
  • Experience with LMS or digital training platforms
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly leads Training Coaches, and regional training teams across assigned facilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Often required to sit, repetitive hand motion (such as typing), hear, listen, talk, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, crawl reach overhead push/pull and lift up to 30 pounds. Seldom required to climb ladders, kneel, squat, crouch, balance or lift over 50 pounds.
