Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Commercial Sales Manager to lead and manage the commercial sales team across multiple branches in Louisiana.  This role, reporting into the Director of Sales & General Manager – Commercial, will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the achievement of company targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fuel and lubricant sales, team leadership, and business development.

What You’ll Do:

• Sales Leadership & Strategy

o Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive gross profit growth and expand market share.

o Oversee sales for assigned regions, managing a team of outside commercial sales representatives.

o Set and monitor performance targets for the sales team, ensuring alignment with company growth goals.

o Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and training to improve sales performance.

• Customer & Market Development

o Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key customers.

o Maintain and grow existing accounts by implementing retention and upselling strategies.

o Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to adapt strategies accordingly.

• Operational & Financial Responsibilities

o Monitor sales performance metrics, including gross profit, volume growth, customer acquisition and retention.

o Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and Salesforce utilization.

o Work closely with finance and operations to manage credit risks and resolve payment issues.

o Partner with branch managers to optimize sales efficiency and customer service.

• Reporting & Performance Management

o Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and align strategies.

o Provide sales reports, forecasts, and key insights to executive leadership.

o Implement sales incentive programs to drive motivation and high performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 5-10 years in sales leadership within the fuel, lubricant, or industrial distribution industry.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent experience preferred

• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in revenue growth, new business development, and team leadership.

• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fuel, lubricant, and chemical sales, including customer needs and market dynamics preferred

• CRM & Analytics: Experience utilizing CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and data-driven decision-making for sales forecasting.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage customers and internal teams effectively.

• Location – Reside in Louisiana with general preference for the greater Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, or Shreveport areas.

• Travel - Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with regional travel throughout Louisiana and far eastern Texas, including single and multi overnight trips.
