Job description

Our team helps customers maximize the reliability, safety, and performance of critical power infrastructure.

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the repair, overhaul, testing, installation, and maintenance of low-, medium-, and high-voltage power transformers and related electrical equipment. This role performs both shop-based and field service work, supporting customer facilities throughout the assigned region. The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical professional with strong transformer experience, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or lead field crews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and overhauls on power transformers ranging from 480V to 765kV.
  • Support field testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment.
  • Lead or assist with transformer installations, inspections, and outage-related projects.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project execution.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
