Journeyman Refrigeration Technician — Supermarket Refrigeration

Turner's Refrigeration | Full-Time | Up to $60/hour DOE | $10,000 Relocation Package Available

Build Your Career With a Company That Invests in You

Turner's is looking for an experienced Journeyman Refrigeration Technician who knows their way around supermarket rack systems and takes pride in doing the job right. If you're a skilled technician who's tired of being just a number, this is your opportunity to join a family-owned company where your growth is our growth — literally. Our profit-sharing program means that as Turner's succeeds, so do you.

What We Offer

  • Top-tier pay: Up to $60/hour, depending on experience — CO2 experience commands a premium
  • $10,000 relocation bonus and incentives for qualified candidates (terms and conditions apply)
  • 100% company-paid health insurance — plus vision and dental
  • Retirement plan with company match
  • Profit sharing — when Turner's grows, our employees share in that success
  • Year-end bonuses as part of your total pay package
  • Company-supplied truck for journeyman technicians
  • Generous paid time off
  • Ongoing paid training — we invest heavily in keeping our technicians at the top of their trade, including manufacturer training and emerging technologies like CO2 and natural refrigerants

What You'll Do

  • Service, troubleshoot, and maintain mid-size to large supermarket refrigeration rack systems
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration control systems
  • Perform the full rigor of journeyman-level service work: diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and emergency service
  • Work independently in demanding commercial and supermarket refrigeration environments
  • Take ownership of your assigned stores and customers — treat them like your own small business
  • Troubleshoot whatever comes your way: supermarkets throw curveballs beyond refrigeration, and our techs are the clever, resourceful problem-solvers customers count on for all of it
  • Represent Turner's with the professionalism and craftsmanship our customers have come to expect

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of supermarket refrigeration experience (required)
  • Proven experience on mid-size to large parallel rack systems
  • Refrigeration controls experience — Copeland (Emerson), Danfoss, or Micro Thermo strongly preferred
  • Brazing proficiency (required)
  • CO2 transcritical/subcritical experience is a major plus — and will result in higher pay
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills — including the cleverness and resourcefulness to handle the non-refrigeration surprises that come with supermarket work
  • Organization, professionalism, and genuine pride in your work
  • An ownership mindset: someone who treats their stores and customers like their own small business
  • Ability to be part of an on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls
