Job description

Job Title: ย ย Wellness Program Manager

Department:ย ย Community Programs

FLSA Status:ย ย Exempt

Reports To: ย Behavioral Health Director

Hours:ย ย Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Location:ย Burney

POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

Under limited supervision, the Wellness Program Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the Wellness Program.ย  This role will focus on improving wellness outcomes, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring program initiatives align with contract requirements and Hill Country Community Clinicโ€™s mission and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.ย  Other duties may be assigned which may become essential to the position.ย 

  1. Develop and manage implementation of the wellness program.
  2. Oversee collaboration with community service agencies to develop and implement the program.
  3. Train, coordinate, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  4. Oversee external relations with the community.
  5. Develop and monitor the wellness program budget.
  6. Collect and report data according to contract requirements.
  7. Develop a network of services, donations, and volunteers from community-based organizations to ensure continuation of the program.
  8. Meet all federal, state and local obligations regarding operation of the program.
  9. Develop protocols, policies, and procedures.
  10. Maintain a sense of teamwork among volunteers and staff as well as among staff and service providers.
  11. Promote Hill Country Community Clinic programs in the community.
  12. Attend designated community service provider meetings.
  13. Network with and maintain a positive relationship with other community service providers.
  14. Accurately communicate Hill Countryโ€™s mission, vision and goals.
  15. Provide the message of the Agencyโ€™s Mission to others.
  16. Interface with other clinic administrators in a positive manner that reflects a team approach.
  17. Conduct regular travel within the county for outreach, community engagement, and program implementation.
  18. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Additional duties of the position include monitoring and coordination of properties and programs in eastern Shasta County. Including but not limited to the following:

    • Coordinate property upkeep, repairs, and cleaning with HC Maintenance, Property Manager, volunteers and vendors
    • Coordinate vehicle maintenance with HC Maintenance and vendors
    • Coordinate/oversee our programs, as needed โ€“ Circle of Friends, Case Management, Representative Payee

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and mentor wellness program staff, including coordinators, educators, and volunteers.
  • Provide training on best practices in health promotion and community engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Must have knowledge of principles of rehabilitation, recovery and consumer empowerment ย ย Must have at least 5-10 years experience in the field related to the program, including experience managing staff and working with volunteers.ย 


Certificates and Licenses:

CPR certification is preferred, must have valid CA driverโ€™s license.

Language Ability:

Must have excellent communication skills.ย  Ability to speak publicly and one-on-one in an effective and persuasive manner.ย  Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret complex documents.ย  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.ย  Ability to listen and understand and communicate information.

Math Ability:

Must have intermediate math skills, sufficient to help clients develop budgets and manage personal finances.ย  This includes basic abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Must have very high reasoning skills.ย  Ability to assess mental status and determine needs for emergency interventions or other forms of care.ย  Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. ย ย

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet browsers and related software.ย 

Equipment Skills:

Proficient with standard office equipment including computers, copiers, fax machines, printers, multi-line telephone systems.ย  Must be an experienced driver and comfortable driving with passengers.
