Wellness Manager: Rosewood Calistoga
OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE
We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact.
As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.
THE TEAM
As part of the Asaya wellness team, you will help bring our vision of regenerative wellbeing to life through thoughtful service, operational excellence, and a highly personalized guest experience. Reporting to the Director of Integrative Wellness, you will work closely with Spa Reception, Wellness Attendants, Therapists, Fitness, Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other resort teams to ensure every touchpoint feels seamless, restorative, and distinctly connected to Calistoga.
YOUR ROLE
As Wellness Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of Asaya while remaining visible and hands-on across the guest journey. You will lead the Spa Reception and Wellness Attendant teams, coordinate daily treatment and facility operations, and help ensure our service, cleanliness, and presentation consistently reflect Rosewood, Forbes, and LQA standards.
You will balance team leadership with active operational coverage, stepping into reception or attendant responsibilities when business needs require. Through thoughtful planning, strong follow-through, and genuine care, you will help create an environment where guests feel personally known, associates feel supported, and the wellbeing experience is delivered with consistency and warmth.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Lead daily Asaya operations across reception, reservations, guest arrival, wellness facilities, relaxation areas, and closing procedures.
  • Serve as a working manager, providing hands-on coverage at the spa desk and within attendant operations as business levels require.
  • Coach, schedule, and support Spa Receptionists and Wellness Attendants while fostering accountability, engagement, and a strong sense of belonging.
  • Ensure every guest journey reflects Rosewood, Forbes, LQA, and Asaya service standards, from pre-arrival planning through post-visit follow-up.
  • Partner with therapists, fitness professionals, visiting practitioners, and resort teams to coordinate treatments, classes, special experiences, and personalized itineraries.
  • Oversee daily facility presentation, cleanliness, opening and closing checklists, amenity readiness, inventory, linen flow, and maintenance follow-up.
  • Respond to guest concerns with empathy and urgency, ensuring thoughtful service recovery and meaningful follow-through.
  • Support spa reservations, utilization, treatment optimization, membership experiences, retail performance, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Monitor payroll, scheduling, supplies, operating expenses, and productivity in partnership with the Director of Integrative Wellness.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, performance conversations, and ongoing associate development.
  • Maintain operating procedures, safety practices, treatment and facility protocols, licensing requirements, and accurate operational records.
  • Use guest feedback, operational observations, and performance results to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Champion the Rosewood Calistoga wellbeing story and confidently communicate treatments, rituals, memberships, retail, and resort programming.
  • Support pre-opening readiness and special projects, including training, testing, supply organization, and the successful launch of Asaya.

COULD THIS BE YOU?
  • You are a visible, hands-on leader who enjoys supporting both guests and associates throughout the day.
  • You bring supervisory or management experience in a luxury spa, wellness, hospitality, or resort environment.
  • You understand spa operations, including reservations, treatment flow, guest service, facility standards, scheduling, inventory, and retail.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and relationship builder who leads with warmth, composure, and authenticity.
  • You have strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced operation.
  • You are comfortable using spa management, scheduling, point-of-sale, and guest profile systems.
  • You enjoy coaching and developing teams while creating a culture of care, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Previous luxury hospitality and pre-opening experience is preferred.
  • A degree or professional qualification in Hospitality, Spa Management, Wellness, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Fluency in English is required; Spanish is preferred.

OUR BENEFITS
As part of our team, you'll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard and valued. We're a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture, and geography of our destinations. We're not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but also to transforming them, and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy helps put these principles into practice.
