About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, detailoriented, and safetydriven Refinery Technician to join our preciousmetals refining and alloy fabrication team. This position plays a key role in processing precious metals and producing gold and nongold alloys in sheet and grain form. The role requires working with industrial chemicals, hightemperature equipment, and heavy personal protective equipment (PPE) in a controlled manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is committed to safe operations, equipment care, and consistent production quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain refinery and fabrication equipment in accordance with established SOPs.

  • Work across multiple production areas, including incineration, gasfurnace melting, casting, metal sheet rolling, metal graining, and wastewater treatment.

  • Safely handle, measure, transfer, and store chemicals following company, OSHA, and environmental regulations.

  • Wear and maintain heavy PPE, including respirators, chemicalresistant gear, heatprotective equipment, and other required safety apparel.

  • Participate in annual physical exams and serve as a member of the facility's HAZWOPER emergency response team.

  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on refinery systems and machinery.

  • Identify and report hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately.

  • Accurately weigh, measure, track, and document materials throughout the refining process.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts, training initiatives, and crossfunctional teamwork to meet production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Experience in a refinery, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment.

  • Strong math and measurement skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and safety protocols.

  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, chemical handling standards, and environmental compliance.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in environments involving heat, fumes, noise, and PPE requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metal refining, chemical processing, or industrial manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and industrial safety practices.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance procedures.

  • Foundational understanding of chemistry and chemical processes.
