Job description

The Co-op Refinery Complex is hiring a Decoker on a permanent full time basis. This position requires on site work and is located in Regina, SK. 

Shift: Decoking shifts will follow a drum schedule based on process operations

What you’ll do: 

  • These duties involve assisting and carrying out operations in removing coke from coke drums with high pressure pumps and drilling equipment, together with the loading of coke by conveyor system to railway cars.  
  • This work involves performing heavy, physical work. A significant variety of semi-skilled activities, heavy equipment operation, as well as trade assignments and other work, as may be required.

Who you are:  

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and: 

  • Completion of Grade 12 including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application may be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period.  
  • Have superior mechanical aptitude, the physical capability to perform heavy work associated with the position, and demonstrated ability in the performance of semi-skilled maintenance work. The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable Decoker training to qualify for advancement.

This is a unionized role that resides with UNIFOR Canada Local 594 offering a wage of $44.68 per hour. As a union member, you would be subject to pay union dues as part of the collective agreement.
