Position Title: General Clerk I
Division: Redhawk Administrative Services
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (Required)
**Position is contingent upon award of contract
Position Summary
Redhawk Administrative Services is seeking a General Clerk I to perform clerical accounting and property management tasks in support of our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) customer. They play a critical role in providing professional financial services to the US Coast Guard (USCG), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD). Requirements include accounting services, audit/internal controls, and property management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Preparing reports, maintaining databases, assisting with customer service inquiries, and coordinating office activities, specifically:
• Receiving, analyzing, and processing a variety of invoices and accounting documents of a more complex nature, requiring independent judgment.
• Assisting with reclassifying accounting transactions and examining records for accuracy.
• Preparing and verifying statements and reports; performing data analysis.
• Assisting with financial reporting analysis and researching root causes of discrepancies, using established procedures.
• Assisting with processing various payment-related transactions and participating in process improvement initiatives.
• Completing a variety of complex tasks, reports and projects, requiring independent problem-solving.
• Supporting property management tasks related to physical inventories, documentation, and reporting, including data analysis and report generation.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
• 0-1 years of experience in a clerical role
• Proficient in basic computer skills and data entry, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently on routine tasks
