Late-Season Lifeguard – Labor Day Weekend

Job Description

Rock Ridge Country Club (RRCC) is a family-oriented private club serving members of all ages, from young families with children to retirees. RRCC offers a professional yet comfortable and welcoming environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our members and their guests.

Our facilities include a clubhouse and pool cabana, beautifully maintained nine-hole golf course, tennis and swim programs, and a variety of dining and social amenities.

RRCC is currently seeking certified lifeguards to join our team for the remainder of the 2026 pool season. Labor Day Weekend availability is REQUIRED.

We're looking for a few dependable lifeguards willing to come save the day and help us finish the season strong! In return, late-season hires who are a great fit will be eligible for priority rehire for the 2027 pool season.

For candidates interested in continuing with Rock Ridge after the pool closes, fall and winter employment opportunities within our clubhouse may also be available for the right individuals interested in hospitality, food & beverage, and member service.

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for RRCC members and their guests. Responsibilities include:

• Supervise swimming activities and ensure all pool policies, safety guidelines, and procedures are followed.
• Monitor the pool and surrounding areas and remain attentive to swimmers at all times.
• Warn swimmers of unsafe or improper activities and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid, CPR, and/or other emergency care when necessary.
• Arrive promptly and prepared for all scheduled shifts.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while providing a high level of member service.
• Communicate professionally with members, guests, supervisors, and fellow staff.
• Perform additional pool-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
• Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
• Current First Aid certification or equivalent.
• Must be available to work Labor Day Weekend.
• Dependable, responsible, and attentive.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.
