What You'll be Doing: 

  • Uncover the full financial needs of the members, provide solutions and/or refer these to the appropriate Advisor.
  • Support and/or facilitate the financial planning experience for the members.
  • Be proactive in pursuing external/internal business opportunities by: retention of existing member base and actively soliciting new business, reviewing marketing data to determine new market potential, and leveraging opportunities with existing members through in branch/telephone communication.
  • Establish and implement a sales plan that focuses on retaining and attracting new members with mid/high net worth, developing internal referral sources, centers of influence, improving profitability with existing members and developing business from existing members.
  • Identify staff developmental opportunities and provide effective coaching and technical training.
  • Provide coaching & mentoring to assist members of the team with skill development.
  • Ensure all corporate policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to including compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to mitigate the risk of loss to the Credit Union and members.

What you Bring:

Experience 

  • Minimum 5 years of financial advisory sales experience as well as thorough knowledge of financial planning, products, policies, procedures and operations. 

Education and Training:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Investment Funds In Canada (IFIC)
  • MFDA License
  • Thorough understanding of financial products and services is an asset.
