Job description

Role Overview:
Seeking a Senior Linux Administrator with extensive experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. This role involves comprehensive system administration, ensuring platform availability, and managing server infrastructure, including some Wintel support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production environments, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day administration of Unix/Linux server infrastructure, with a primary focus on Red Hat Linux environments.
  • Perform system configuration, account administration, OS maintenance, and lifecycle support for physical and virtual servers.
  • Ensure platform availability and operational readiness across enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Support monitoring, patching, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with contract and operational requirements.
  • Perform changes related to Disaster Recovery (DR), data center moves, and capacity management on Wintel platforms.
  • Implement planned changes, including server configuration, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Recommend and execute server hardware and software configuration, installation, patching, integration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation pertaining to the environment, policies, procedures, and other assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with other service providers to minimize service interruptions in the infrastructure.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in Production environments.
  • Experience with OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes distributions.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, coupled with Linux systems administration expertise.
  • Wintel Support capabilities, including managing Active Directory, User Accounts, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services.
  • MVS System Administration.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall experience.
