DevOps Engineer (SME)

Location: Fort Liberty (Fort Bragg), NC — Onsite Clearance Required: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility Salary: $145,000–$160,000 Category: Engineering / DevOps / Systems Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite, Cleared

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (SME) to provide advanced technical support for a mission-critical DoD program at Fort Liberty. This position requires strong experience in Linux systems engineering, Kubernetes-based platforms, automation, and secure infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and maintain Docker and Kubernetes platforms
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Administer and secure Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
  • Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application issues
  • Maintain monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including STIGs
  • Support accreditation and configuration management
  • Provide SME-level guidance to cross-functional technical teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (required)
  • 6–10 years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or platform engineering
  • Expertise with: RHEL administration, Docker & Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, Terraform / Ansible
  • Troubleshooting across systems and networks
  • Experience in DoD, IC, or other secure enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications
  • Experience with enterprise logging/monitoring tools
  • Prior support of military or national security programs
