Job description

The Mobility Technician is a key member of the nursing team. They work alongside our RN’s, PCT's/CNA’s, and therapy teams to help mobilize our patients, transport them to and from therapies, along with a variety of other nursing unit responsibilities. This position provides people with great exposure to several healthcare opportunities/careers and allows for direct patient contact.

Qualifications:
  • H.S Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR certification preferred prior to hire

WORK SCHEDULE: 36 hours/week, Monday-Friday 3:00pm-10:00pm

Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:

Milne Units: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes:

  • Continuous telemetry monitoring
  • Ventilator support and weaning
  • LVAD patient population
  • Heart Transplant population

Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical Units offer skills such as:

  • Stroke
  • Complex wounds
  • Telemetry
  • Pulmonary care

Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty Units are CARF Accredited with a focused patient population:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Stroke
  • Spinal cord Injury
