Job description

Mountain Equipment Recyclers in Colorado Springs, CO is looking for one sales associate to join our 5 person close-knit team. This is a part-time seasonal position around 21hrs/wk with emphasis on Saturday availability. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and make them feel at home
  • Operate a POS system and handle cash
  • Answer any questions the customers may have
  • Assist Consignors in preparing their items for sale
  • Clean work area as needed to maintain a tidy work environment
  • Respond to all complaints in a friendly and professional manner


Qualifications

  • Friendly attitude even when dealing with disgruntled employees or customers
  • Responsible and proven ability to maintain scheduling commitments
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and address concerns customers may have
  • Good communication skills with customers
  • Knowledge of outdoor gear including: camping, skiing, biking, hiking, and climbing
  • Understanding of the retail market for high quality used equipment
