Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Equipment Operator to join our recycled aggregate and portable crushing operation. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in aggregate production, portable crushing, screening, or recycled concrete/asphalt processing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other aggregate processing equipment
  • Assist with portable crushing and screening operations
  • Feed crushers and maintain material flow efficiently and safely
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
  • Assist with setup, tear down, and relocation of portable crushing spreads
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety procedures and MSHA/OSHA regulations

Qualifications

  • Experience in portable crushing, quarry, aggregate, or recycled aggregate operations preferred
  • Knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, and material handling equipment
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and minor repairs
  • Experience operating loaders and excavators required
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • MSHA certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, climbing, bending, kneeling

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

  • Work in outdoor environments with heat, cold, dust, and noise

  • Exposure to moving equipment and vibrating machinery

Work Schedule

  • Full-time: 40+ hours/week

  • Weekend work as needed

  • Daytime hours with occasional early mornings or extended shifts
