Job description

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Represents and promotes GVMH at recruitment fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
  • Develops creative advertising approaches that appeal to the most qualified candidates
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunities (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations
  • Works with the Marketing department to develop and maintain current recruitment materials to include information regarding the organization's services, culture and career path opportunities
  • Manages and coordinates annual MASH Camp event
  • Manages all aspects of stipend, scholarship and educational programs
  • Coordinates traveler needs with leaders
  • Manages and maintains updated job descriptions
  • Responsible for posting open positions in the applicant tracking system and vetting applicants
  • Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • Tracks employee recruitment incentive program and ensures bonuses are paid timely
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and leaders
  • Completes reference assessments on all potential hires and distributes to department leaders

Previous experience in a Human Resources department is preferred with at least one year of office experience. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and proven organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience is required in word processing, especially experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, as well as proficiency including database, graphics, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail and organization is very important.
Must be customer-service oriented, highly discreet, able to routinely handle confidential materials and manage multiple priorities and assignments and meet deadlines. Must be flexible with hours and able to work under pressure. Has good judgment and problem-solving skills.
