JOB TITLE: Attorney Recruiting Assistant
OFFICE LOCATION: Philadelphia
DEPARTMENT: Attorney Recruiting
REPORTS TO: Director of Attorney Recruiting
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Saul Ewing is seeking a talented individual to join its Attorney Recruiting department in the Philadelphia office. This role will involve administrative support for attorney, law student and patent agent recruiting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in all aspects of Associate, Partner, Counsel and Patent Agent recruiting including data entry, coordinating interviews, collecting interview feedback, data tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in all aspects of Summer Associate recruiting including interview scheduling, managing application database, document review and registering for on campus interviews.
  • Work with Recruitment Coordinator to organize student recruitment events.
  • Support diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain and update legal recruiting database, viRecruit, and all candidate files.
  • Process recruitment team invoices and expenses.
  • Assist in updating and distributing recruiting materials, including forms and manuals for attorneys and candidates.
  • Conduct research on law school and law firm recruiting policies and provide data as requested by department leadership.
  • Help compile data for surveys.
  • Handle other responsibilities as requested by Recruitment team leadership.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & OTHER JOB-RELATED COMPETENCIES:
  • Experience working in a legal environment preferred.
  • Experience with human resources or attorney recruiting preferred.
  • High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and work requirements as they evolve.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working across offices and with colleagues in a remote environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Zoom and Teams.
  • Experience with viRecruit and viEval preferred.
  • Knowledge of Symplicity for law student resume parsing preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Background in recruiting or human resources preferred.
  • Experience working in a legal environment preferred.

Physical Demands of Position:
Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the following during the work day:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (working at a computer)
  • Repetitive movement (i.e. heavy computer/keyboard use).
  • Individual will interact regularly with others verbally, in-person, and via written communication.
  • May require occasional light lifting (files, copy paper, etc.).

COMPENSATION:
The pay for this position will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
